I Passed the BOC Exam. Now What?

A new and improved self-assessment exam tool now
provides a better experience for BOC exam candidates and
ATs looking to gauge their continuing education needs. The
system, which launched in the spring, allows the BOC to be
more responsive to users in both the short and long terms.
Some of the new features include the following:
•;Ability for PDs to make online “bulk” purchases
•;Ability for candidates to email results to themselves and
•;Alignment of technology to prepare for new products and
services in the future
Those who have current self-assessment exam vouchers will
continue to be able to use them on the current system or
transfer them to the new system.

New Self-Assessment Exam Tool Allows Bulk Purchases, More
Program Director Reference Survey Results Now Available Online
In late 2014, the BOC conducted the Athletic Training
Program Director Reference Survey to identify references
most commonly used by athletic training programs nationwide.
The survey results are now available in a full report on the
Survey respondents were Program Directors (PDs) of CAATE
accredited professional programs. This survey is a follow-up
to an earlier version, published in 2010. The outcomes will not
only assist the exam development process, but also will allow
educators to remain informed about other programs’ curricula.
