How to Handle Graduation Date Changes
The following information will provide guidance on how to handle changes in a student’s anticipated date of graduation. Be
Certain.™ to notify the BOC of any changes as soon as possible to prevent delays in certification.
A candidate submits Step 1 to Program Director for approval to apply for the BOC exam; however, the candidate entered an
incorrect anticipated date of graduation.
Proper Program Director action: The Program Director should reject Step 1 and enter a reason for rejecting the form. The
candidate will receive an email indicating that the form has been rejected. The candidate then will be directed to correct Step 1
and resubmit the form for approval.
Candidate has had a change in anticipated date of graduation before the BOC receives an official transcript.
Proper Program Director action: Candidate and Program Director complete and submit the Notification of Change in
Anticipated Date of Graduation form.
