Accreditation Conference 2016
The 2016 CAATE Accreditation Conference: Assuring and
Enhancing Quality Athletic Training Education will be held
October 21-23, 2016 at the Hilton Tampa Downtown Hotel
in Tampa, Florida. The Conference Planning Committee
is already working on next year’s programming, which
preliminarily contains workshops for program development
and quality improvement, as well as a continued focus
on supporting the development and evolution of post-professional residency programs. Check the CAATE website
at www.caate.net for releases on programming throughout the
year with registration to open early summer 2016.
Upcoming CAATE Volunteer Opportunities
The CAATE will be posting open calls for applications to
serve on the Site Visit Committee and the Review Committee,
as well as accepting applications to become a Site Visitor.

( http://caate.net/post/) throughout the spring of 2016 to take
advantage of these exciting volunteer opportunities. Currently,
we have a need for Site Visitors with clinical experience,
as well as experience in post-baccalaureate professional
programs, post-professional degree programs and post-professional residency programs.
Call for Nominations for the Bob & Lynn Caruthers
The CAATE invites and encourages peer and self-
nomination(s) of individuals for the Bob and Lynn Caruthers
Service Award. This award will be given to an individual who
demonstrates the character and performance traits Bob and
Lynn Caruthers displayed in their respective careers. Both
Bob and Lynn demonstrated significant and distinguished
service to professional and specialized accreditation and
excellence when working directly with constituent institutions.
This award is intended to be a reflection of the commitment to
professional education and service shown by the Caruthers.
Nominees should demonstrate a clear and consistent record
of excellence in service to athletic training accreditation and
the CAATE. Emphasis must be placed on the delivery of
quality accreditation services to accredited programs and the
institutions that house them.
Nominations must include a letter outlining the professional
work of the nominee, a curriculum vitae and 3 letters of
support demonstrating significant and distinguished service
to the CAATE. Both the level of involvement with the CAATE
and the quality of that involvement will be evaluated. Self-nominations are encouraged.

net. Application deadline is March 31, 2016. The award will
be presented at the CAATE reception at the NATA Meeting &
Clinical Symposia, Baltimore, Maryland.
Annual Accreditation Fees Announced For 2018-19
The CAATE announces that the Annual Accreditation Fee for
Professional Programs in 2018-19 will be $4,500. Annual
Accreditation Fees are determined 3 years in advance to
allow programs to budget accordingly. Fees are determined
based on the Commission’s financial policies and the need
to support our mission of defining, measuring and continually
improving AT education.
