As the BOC Board of Directors transitions its leadership in 2017, we extend our gratitude to
outgoing president Susan McGowen. Her term on the Board concluded at the end of 2016.
BOC Executive Director Denise Fandel said McGowen has been an outstanding leader and
has provided the Board with a collaborative, strategic direction.
“She has challenged all of us – the Board and staff – to be the best versions of ourselves,”
Fandel said. “We are so grateful for her service to the BOC and the profession.”
Rusty McKune, a current Board member and Athletic Trainer Director, took office as
president in January 2017. McKune was elected to the BOC Board of Directors in 2013.
